Heart Shaped Shortbread
We celebrated Burns night at a friend’s house recently and my contribution was a rather boozy Raspberry Cranachan. I was uncertain how many guests were invited and whether there would be enough Cranachan to go around. Rather than risk anyone going short, I took along a batch of these delicious, sugar crusted, buttery, heart shaped shortbread!
Heart Shaped Shortbread
I searched online for a quick and easy shortbread recipe and found this classic recipe by BBC Good food. The only change I made was shaping them into heart shapes instead of fingers. These sweet, buttery, biscuits paired beautifully with the creamy, boozy Raspberry Cranachan (pictured below).
The heart shape gives them an extra special touch, which, not only makes them a perfect accompaniment to a Burns night dessert, such as Raspberry Cranachan, but also turns them into the perfect Valentine’s day treat or gift. Their cuteness will melt your sweet heart!
Shortbread must be one of the easiest biscuits recipes you can make and this is such a straightforward and simple one.
Just 3 Ingredients:
- butter
- caster sugar, plus extra to finish
